Cottage Window

The view from the living room window, Stacey's new cottage in Wareside, England.
That's a cobb nut tree turning golden, otherwise known as hazelnuts.
We had cobb nuts as a hedge at the house we lived in, Hollins Hall in Flaunden,
while stationed in England when I was 9-12 years-old.
Sweet memories!

  1. I love love love hazel nuts (really good in choc chip cookies!). In Oregon I used to go out into the orchards and u-pick them, raking them into piles and sorting through the debris to pick out the round, reddish nuts.

Wow. Hadn't thought of that for a long time.

Wondering what the green cloth is made from?
